Anyone Interested in Eddie’s T-shirts?

October 31, 2007

Hi all,

I am looking for some feedback here. There has been a rising interest in our “powered by Eddie’s Energy” t-shirts. We are thinking about ordering some for our totally awesome customers who would like to purchase them. There are already customers who would like them, so I am wondering if anyone else out there is interested in purchasing a t-shirt?

Yep. That’s the art that will go on a white t-shirt. If you have interest in one, please let me know. We are probably going to order some t-shirts by the middle of November. Estimated cost is around $10.

Thanks!

The Trapp Family Lodge

October 28, 2007

At the expo last weekend, we also met Sam Von Trapp of the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT. He loved our bars, and we’re now in the process of working something out with the people down there to offer our energy bars to their patrons.

If you haven’t been up to Trapp Family Lodge it is very beautiful, and they have amazing cross-country ski trails in the winter, along with sleigh rides I have been on a couple of times.

Here is a picture of me and Sam at the expo last weekend:

I hope you all have a wonderful start to the week, and GO RED SOX!

Benefits of Getting Massages

October 25, 2007

Most people either like or dislike massages. I like them, and have started to really like them to the point where I think I need one monthly (ok, maybe not monthly, but probably four times a year).

On the last day of the expo we attended, I got smacked with a horrible headache. I seriously thought my head was going to explode. I did everything in my power to try and relieve it (with no access to advil). I drank lots of fluids, ate a rather large lunch, and it ended up getting worse. I then saw that one of the booths was giving out free massages. There was no line, so I jumped on the opportunity.

The woman who gave me the massage was Suzy Finnefrock of Bodhi Wellness Studio. I let her know that I had a horrible headache, so she took that into consideration while giving me the massage. Despite being in the middle of the crowded expo, it was the most rejuvenating massage I have ever gotten. It relieved my headache and gave me energy throughout the rest of the day to finish the expo.

A lot of people think massages are girly, and guys shouldn’t get them. Well…it relieves stress, relaxes my body, and gives me more energy. Yep–I think those are three pretty awesome things.

Bodhi Wellness Studio is located in Waterbury, VT. If you frequent them, there is a chance you just might meet me, owner of Eddie’s Energy Bars!

Famous Vermont Faces Try Eddie’s Energy Bars!

October 24, 2007

This weekend at the All Sports trade show, many momentous events occurred. One of these momentous events was the Governor of Vermont and his wife, Jim and Dorothy Douglas, trying Eddie’s Energy Bars for the first time. They thoroughly enjoyed them, and purchased two bars. Below is a picture of the Governor trying a bar.

Secondly, we got to give some energy bars to the members of the 2007 ABA Champion Vermont Frost Heaves. They truly engulfed our bars, all coming back with rave reviews. Below is a picture of me, the team, and their mascot, Bump.

This was a fun time had by all. I met a whole bunch of other people at the expo, whom I will profile throughout the rest of the week.

Setting a Community Example

October 23, 2007

I would like to acknowledge Mike Comeau, owner of the Richmond Corner Market, for his generosity to the Richmond Elementary School yesterday.

Mike over-bought creemee mix (for those of you who don’t know what a creemee is, it’s the term us Vermonters use for soft-serve). Creemee mix is only good for so many days, so Mike called Richmond Elementary School, and said “I’d like to offer free creemees to the kids at RES”.

My mom, secretary at the school, and organizational officer at Eddie’s, helped hand out the cones as staff and students walked down the hill to the Corner Market. The police even stopped traffic to let the kids safely cross the road.

What an incredible act of kindness. This is why I live in Vermont. There is no place better in my mind with a bigger sense of community than Richmond.

We have an even closer relationship with the Comeau family. Besides the fact that we sell our energy bars in the Richmond Corner Market, Mike’s aunt and uncle, Ann and Bernie Comeau, provide us with syrup from their sugar-house in Williston for our maple walnut energy bar.
