Woods Tea Company Creates a Special Energy Bar
Whew! It has been a crazy week here at school, and I have a feeling that it will just keep on continuing. We have had a lot developing over the past couple of weeks, and here is a bit behind one of my favorite things we have been working on at Eddie’s:
In early January, Howard Wooden of the Woods Tea Company, a folk band based in St. Albans, VT, contact us about making Rusty’s Energy Bars. Rusty Jacobs, the founder of the band sadly passed away last year. Howard and his band mates wanted to remember Rusty in a fun way, which is why Howard thought energy bars would be a great idea.
They sent me some artwork, and I threw together an awesome label. They are taking the bars on tour with them throughout California during February. Every penny made will go to Henriette’s Relief Project, which is fantastic.
If you have yet to see Wood’s Tea live, then check out their tour dates if you are out in California. They are incredible! If you’re a Vermont local, there are a couple of tour dates for you too!

Update: Healthy Living Market
After weeks of trying to reach the right person at Healthy Living Market in South Burlington, VT, we have made some headway.
For those of you wondering if we’re going to be showing up in Healthy Living anytime soon, here was their answer:
They are interested in carrying our local product, however, with all of the hustle and bustle of their new store, they would like to talk with us after their new store opens.
So, we hope to be entering Healthy Living sometime in early 2008, when they are projected to open.

Brain Breaks
Don’t be afraid to step back and take a look at what you’ve got to do and what you want to do. Sometimes these can be completely different. Prioritize, and write down a schedule if you have to. I like talking things out with my friends and family. I always seem to end up making the best decisions after I have talked it out with someone.
I like a line in the song I just downloaded:
If you don’t know which direction you should take, you don’t know where you are.
That is pretty much me right now, in a business sense. As much as I would love to take a brain break this weekend, I must postpone it, to study for three exams next week. Before you think I’m not going to have fun this weekend, I am heading into Providence with friends for dinner and Waterfire Saturday night.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I’ve got lots of thinking (and studying) to do.

Farmer’s Market Pics!
After a couple of days of not posting, I decided to post a picture of my vending space at the Williston Farmer’s Market. I’ve got a fun place, surrounded by fun people, so you should come check it out! Come early–we sell out of a couple of flavors pretty fast! It’s from 9-1 Saturdays, behind the library on route 2, rain or shine.

Horrible Newsletter
Sorry for the numerous spelling and grammatical errors in the newsletter I sent out last night. Maybe I shouldn’t proof read it at 10:00 pm…
