Hey Everyone,

While baking today, we decided to give a new flavor a whirl.  We had previously made this bar a couple months ago, but it hasn’t really been tested.

The bar contains Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, sun-dried tomatoes, and diced pepperoni.  Basically, it is a savory bar of sorts.  We have come up with a couple of naming options like the Italiano bar and the Pizza bar.

Custom-Labeled Energy Bars

Good Afternoon,

I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weekend outside, and spent quality time with your father, grandfather, or another man in your life for Father’s Day.  I spent the afternoon yesterday making energy bars.  I made some peanut-butter chocolate chip (a customer favorite), and a custom order.

This custom order was for Lauren Wooden, the Principal at Richmond Elementary School, right in my town.  I had recently learned from my mom, who is a secretary there that last year she gave out candy bars to the teachers as a thank you.  Candy Bars!?!  I knew I had to do something about this.  These teachers needed a healthier alternative to keep them going right up through report cards.  I proposed to Lauren, a custom-labeled energy bar.

This energy bar ended up being custom in more ways than one.  It was a custom flavor, a custom size, and a custom label. The flavor was chocolate chocolate chip (which will be on the market soon–don’t worry), the size was basically a snack size, half the size of a normal Eddie’s bar, and the label was custom designed by myself.  You can check out a picture of the custom bar below.

Are you interested in getting some custom-labeled energy bars for your next event? Contact us for a quote, and we will get back to you within a few business days. There are endless possibilities: weddings, company outings, graduation, etc.
You can supply the label, or we can design it for you.  Whatever you want, we can probably do it.

Have you ever seen custom-labeled energy bars?  I didn’t think so.  We’re a different company.  Contact us to have a stand-out gift at your event.

The Test Kitchen is Back!

My brain feels like a big ball of mush right now. My friend from NC who is coming up had a couple of flight mishaps this morning, and will be in later this afternoon, but that gave me the chance to explore into how I want to expand Eddie’s Energy Bars, and find some way to get multiple streams of income besides selling my fantastically tasty, Vermont-made energy bars.

Yesterday, I attended the monthly Richmond Area Business Association meeting, and one of the topics was a wedding show Vermont Vows was going to have at the West Monitor Barn in Richmond, VT. I was sitting there, thinking about what I could do to get in on that, and the President of RABA, a great friend, and owner of Keyworth Graphics, leaned over and asked me if I could turn my product into a wedding favor.

What an interesting thought. I rushed home, and designed a label for my test-market wedding favor, threw some ribbon on it, and voila! A wedding favor for the outdoorsy people who want to give something unique to their guests.

This led to other endeavors, like custom-labeled energy bars, where a company could get them labeled with their logo, and give them out.

What do you all think? I invite you to leave a comment below.

Have a great day!

Which Store to go into First?

Hey All,

Today has been a sit at the computer and do work day for me.  While I don’t really like it, it’s what I decided to do. First I made a list of stores and golf courses I am going to pursue in the coming weeks.  I have a busy schedule ahead of me, and I just figured out that in the next three weeks, I have three days off, all Tuesday’s actually.

Here is my list:

Healthy Living Market
Sweet Clover Market
Mac’s Market
Green Mountain Club
Local Motion
Lantman’s IGA
Underhill Country Store

Links at Lang Farm
Essex Country Club
Williston Golf Club
Cedar Knoll Country Club

I think it is a pretty adventurous list.  I tried to tackle Healthy Living today, but with no headway.  Oh well–hopefully she will call me back.

The last thing I conquered was a new homepage. If you wonderful Eddie’sNATION members could please check out my new homepage, and let me know what you think that would be just fantastic.  I have two versions. The one up right now is a lot more complex than the other one.

Enjoy your fun in the sun.

Energy Bar Popsicles for the Summer?

I met with my Business 101 professor this morning, and we were discussing our summer plans. I mentioned that a customer let me know that Eddie’s Energy Bars stay soft and chewy frozen. I thought this would only be a winter promotion, but my business professor came up with a quirky, but intelligent idea: energy bar popsicles.

As crazy as this idea is, it might just work. A great summer treat is the classic popsicle, and sure they are less calories, but our energy pops (should I call them that?) will be more filling because of the great source of protein and fiber they provide. There would be a popsicle stick inserted in the energy bar and packaged as they are normally packaged. This would be fantastic as a summer treat, a nice cold energy bar that doesn’t taste like a brick, but it is soft, moist, and still full of flavor.

Crazy idea or genius? Let me know if you have any great ideas like this for the summer.

Have a great day!
