Classes are done, and exams start today. I have four exams that I am hoping to do well on (and the fifth I am exempt from which I am really happy about).
Eddie’s is doing well, too. We could possibly be going through some pretty crazy changes this summer, so I will be sure to update you all, as things happen. For now though, I am focusing on finals this week, and I will be back writing next week.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Christmas Tree and Corporate Gifts
Hello Everyone,
I just got done with classes for the semester today, and exams start on Thursday. I think I am in pretty good shape to finish out the semester with good grades. Anyway, Jeanne aka Mom, sent me some pictures today of what has been going on. The first picture is of Eddie aka Dad cutting down our Christmas tree. The second is a special corporate order we are doing (explained below).

Here is Eddie, Head of Research and Development here at Eddie’s Energy Bars, cutting down our chosen Christmas Tree to go in our living room this holiday season. As some of you may know, I am Jewish, and we do celebrate Hanukkah, but my dad is Christian, so we feel that celebrating Christmas is something we also should do.

This is our first corporate gift order that we have done since we started, and I am really excited about it. Dr. Rich Pratley contacted Eddie about gifts for the doctors that have referred patients. We thought it was a great idea, so what Dr. Pratley did was order a special six-pack of bars for each doctor. It was a pretty big order so we threw in the bags, tissue paper, and a sweet label to close the bag off and make the gift look really special. Yep, we do pretty big things here at Eddie’s Energy Bars! Contact us if you would like to do something like this for your next event. I cannot wait until we hear back from Dr. Pratley and the recipients of his generous corporate gifts. Thanks Dr. Pratley for showing the local love!
That’s all for now, folks. Posts will be limited over the next week, as I have some serious studying to do!
Happy Holidays!

Importance of Group Dynamics

Should I be the one to take the hit on my grade if other people in my group can’t do their work right? I don’t think so. I had a group project due in one my classes recently. The group was a whopping twelve people. That’s way too many to get something done right. It has been shown that the best team, is a team of 5-6 people. Not twice that many. My grade suffered on behalf of people who decided to not execute in a timely manner, of which I had to make up for to the best of my abilities. Because of this escapade, I have decided to write about the most important quality of an effective group. Use fantastic communication skills to turn out an awesome project:
Communication, Communication, Communication
I cannot stress this enough. Without great communication, you’re done. Don’t even try. The project will end up a mess. A couple of keys for group communication: obtain everyones contact information. The second your group is formed, e-mail everyone with a copy of that contact information to make sure all members have the correct spelling, etc. This is a crucial step in case someone needs to get in contact with another team member. Here are a couple of situations that stem around effective communication:
–>Didn’t get a file? Tell someone. Your next meeting might not be as productive if you don’t have the file everyone is talking about.
–>Can’t understand what something means? Ask Questions. There is no such thing as a stupid question.
–>Want to make a decision? Get it approved by everyone. It’s chaos if you move ahead without everyones consent.
–>Don’t like a decision? Don’t be afraid to speak up. Sometimes their decisions aren’t the best.
–>Don’t use e-mail to communicate. Pick up a phone and go old school. It’s most likely faster.
These are just a few crucial things you need to do to keep a cohesive group. I for one am not a fan of group work if everyone is on a different page. I thought college would be a place where group work would thrive, and things would get done in a timely manner. Yeah…right. I must have been dreaming. Most people love groups because they can sit back and relax, letting the good times roll….someone else can do the work. I’m the one doing all the work. It always ends up that way. I’m one of the few that choose not to procrastinate. There is nothing wrong with taking charge and getting things done. If you are this type of person, kudos to you! Stand up, and take the reigns. You’ll be noted and recognized for it later.
Off to go study for my marketing exam! Have a great day!

Energy Bars for Your College Student!
It is all too often that college students complain about the horrible food in the dining hall on campus. I know I do it all the time. Nothing ever beats home cooked food. This time of year is usually busy for your sons and daughters because of midterms–sometimes it’s even worse than finals. The combination of bad food and lots of tests is not a good combination.
During this time, students usually don’t eat very well, but don’t worry, Mom and Dad, you can change that with Eddie’s Energy Bars. Our bars will provide the natural energy your teenage Einstein is going to need to finish studying for their tests!
Order your energy bars today, and make a few stressful weeks enjoyable for your college student. Want to customize the label on the bars you send to your student? Contact us!

Writing for the School Paper
Hey All,
I’m writing for the Archway, Bryant University’s school newspaper. My first article is up.
You can read it here. It’s titled: “You can Wear a Suit! I’m wearing Shorts.”
Pretty much every week, I will have a new article for the paper, and you will be able to read it on the Bryant Archway website.
Hope you enjoy it!
