Hello Everyone,

I just got done with classes for the semester today, and exams start on Thursday. I think I am in pretty good shape to finish out the semester with good grades. Anyway, Jeanne aka Mom, sent me some pictures today of what has been going on. The first picture is of Eddie aka Dad cutting down our Christmas tree. The second is a special corporate order we are doing (explained below).

Here is Eddie, Head of Research and Development here at Eddie’s Energy Bars, cutting down our chosen Christmas Tree to go in our living room this holiday season. As some of you may know, I am Jewish, and we do celebrate Hanukkah, but my dad is Christian, so we feel that celebrating Christmas is something we also should do.

This is our first corporate gift order that we have done since we started, and I am really excited about it.  Dr. Rich Pratley contacted Eddie about gifts for the doctors that have referred patients.  We thought it was a great idea, so what Dr. Pratley did was order a special six-pack of bars for each doctor.  It was a pretty big order so we threw in the bags, tissue paper, and a sweet label to close the bag off and make the gift look really special.  Yep, we do pretty big things here at Eddie’s Energy Bars!  Contact us if you would like to do something like this for your next event.  I cannot wait until we hear back from Dr. Pratley and the recipients of his generous corporate gifts.  Thanks Dr. Pratley for showing the local love!

At the expo last weekend, we also met Sam Von Trapp of the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT. He loved our bars, and we’re now in the process of working something out with the people down there to offer our energy bars to their patrons.

If you haven’t been up to Trapp Family Lodge it is very beautiful, and they have amazing cross-country ski trails in the winter, along with sleigh rides I have been on a couple of times.

Eddie’s Energy Bars

This weekend at the All Sports, Recreation, and Fitness Expo, I found most people liked the fact that our bars stay soft and chewy in the freezer for up to six months (maybe even longer, but that’s what we tested). While Clif Bars may not freeze, Power Bars certainly do, however, we compete on more than the fact that our bars don’t freeze.

We compete on the fact that our bars taste like food, incredibly fresh because we do not use any preservatives at all.  We use simple, pronouncable ingredients that provide incredible nutritional quality.

Granted this creates a shorter shelf-life, but fresher food is better food. Putting them in the freezer keeps the freshness intact. A lot of our customers eat their energy bars right out of the freezer!
