It’s the calm before the storm here at Bryant University. This calm is equivalent to being at the ocean and hearing the seagulls flying about in the sky, taking in their views from above; the still action of the water and sand below. I kind of wish I was there right now. The calm on campus will soon be over and the infamous “Thirsty Thursday” will begin. But this is no Thirsty Thursday. This is the Thirsty Thursday of Spring Weekend 2007.
What is Spring Weekend you ask? It is basically where every student on campus makes it their goal to not remember what they did last night (if you get my drift). They also eat plenty of healthy energy bars to get them through this busy weekend. Don’t get me wrong, I am looking forward to spring weekend. O.A.R. is coming to campus, and there are plenty of activities to keep me busy, and my mind OFF FINALS. Some of the events I am looking forward to are the three comedians coming. I love to laugh. The relaxing, care-free aspect is so appealing to me. The last comedian I went to on campus, I was made fun of, but it was all in good spirits (he apologized after).
Secondly, I am looking forward to Bryant University’s BIGGEST BINGO EVER! There are so many prizes to be won, and it is my goal, before I graduate, to win something at bingo. Whether it will happen, I don’t really know. You should wish me luck tomorrow. Maybe I should offer up some Eddie’s Energy Bars as a prize…that would be cool. What do you guys think?
Lastly, I want to remind everyone to have a safe weekend. Whether you are on the Bryant campus, or another campus, please stay safe.
PS: Another sure sign Mother’s Day is coming: the trees are starting to bud and blossom. Just another reason to hop on the bandwagon and grab mom some homemade energy bars for her next outdoor adventure.
Have an exciting Thursday night/Friday!
Michael
