I am finally Blogging!

By Michael

This is all just really interesting to me–this blogging aspect. Opening up my life, personal and business, to readers from around the world. It’s true! I am getting visitors from Brazil, Japan, Sweden, and even Thailand! It’s amazing! I make the Eddie’s website, and put some tracking software on it, and BAM–all these international countries! Somone overseas is actually looking at my company website! For today, I just thought that I would throw in a couple of things that I have learned about networking, and how it has really helped me to see my company in a whole new light.

1. NETWORKING IS IMPORTANT!
I have been talking to just about everyone I can about Eddie’s Energy Bars, and they are all amazed that I started this company when I was 16! When people seem interested in my product, and ask to try it, of course I’m going to give them a sample! This creates fantastic word of mouth–especially if I am at an event! People start talking about Eddie’s Energy Bars and more networkers come for a taste! Word of mouth is such an important aspect to my company, so I whole heartedly emphasize everyone to get out and talk with anyone! You never know who you are going to meet, which leads me to my next point.

2. YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU ARE GOING TO MEET!
Networking can lead you in many directions, most likely the positive direction. The more people that know about Eddie’s, the better! In my travels around, the internet and land, I have met very interesting people, and people that have really helped me out a lot, and most of them for free too! I have met people who are willing to invest in my company, people willing to help me see my company succeed, people who even give the smallest tidbit of information, but it could mean the world to me, in how I run Eddie’s in the future. If someone looks like they know a lot, they probably do! Step up, and go say HI!

3. YOU KNOW SOME PEOPLE WHO KNOW SOME PEOPLE
Life is interesting. It’s almost like we are all related–werid thought, but it is probably true! Anyway, throughout life, you meet a ton of people, and they all serve a purpose in your life. They could be family, co-workers, friends, or even your customers! Through a lot of family friends, I have been introduced to a number of people in high places. You can do it too! All you need to do is talk to those people who know people. Through friends, I have met other food entrepreneurs, owners of companies that I can use to better Eddie’s, and also, other friends willing to spread the Eddie’s Energy Bar brand all over the United States!

In short, networking is really important, and I encourage every one to get out and meet people, because you never know who will help you with accomplishing your dream, like so many people have done for me over the years!
